This plant can remain in its dormant stage for up to 50 years without water. Throughout history, these highly adaptive plants would dry up and blow in the wind like tumbleweeds until they came upon water. Then, they would rapidly open and feast upon the water until it was gone. Plant is also known as: Selaginella Lepidophylla, Rose of Jericho, Dinosaur Fern, & Selaginella Moss. Place plant with the root ball facing downwards in a bowl of water and watch it transform from a dormant brown ball into a lush fern in a matter of days.
Replace water regularly to prevent molding. If molding occurs, remove from water and let plant dry out completely. Can place on soil.
Measures between 3’’-5’’ round.
